I have spent most of my adult years living in the Lake Erie Region. The flow of water, in all its forms, has influenced my spirit and artistic endeavors. Some are direct and traditional and others delve deeper into mystical expression. Growing up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA, I was blessed with woodlands to explore and nature found a place in my heart at an early age. Through my life journey, I discovered that mystical experience is inherent not only in art and nature, but also in contemplative movement practices. A good number of years ago, I read the words of Joseph Campbell: "Follow Your Bliss." Over the years, I have embraced this sentiment by combining creativity, yoga and expressive arts facilitation. I endeavor to promote curiosity, peace, joy, and wellbeing. I see the light in all of creation and celebrate the gift of the present moment.
I began my formal arts education at the University of Pittsburgh, transferring to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where I received a B.S. in Art Education. I continued with Graduate Studies in Photography at Ohio University. I spent some years teaching art and photography at many locations/levels, including preschool, elementary school, high school, adult education, social service agencies, and spiritual retreats. I have exhibited my work extensively in solo and group shows regionally and nationally for over 40 years. I am currently a member of the the Fiber Arts Guild of Erie, the Northwestern Pennsylvania Artists Association, a (founding member) of The Labyrinth Society, and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. I am grateful for my family and friends, who have been supportive of my creative way of life, affording me the opportunity to follow my bliss.
